my husband, god love him, walks right past the bathroom to go outside to pee off of the deck. Mind you, he has justification. He says he's saving water and electricity by not flushing. Also tells me that the privilege of living out in the country. I'm not a great outside pee-er. Usually soak the pant legs (lol)

when using the facilities indoors for #1, we don't flush.  even got my wife and daughter to do that, even with the low flows.  trying to get our water to under 4000/gal/mo.  our neighbor is down to 2000gal/mo.

i'd say our biggest waste of water is waiting for the shower to heat up.  i'm thinking about getting one of those undersink hot water to cold hookups with a timer on it to bring the hot and then it shuts off.  i think it dumps the cold back in tank as the hot goes out, so maybe it doesn't save anything except the water.
