Help with Heifer

I have a 6 month old heifer calf that has loose manure all the time. She has been weaned for about 5 weeks and is on grass hay and calf pellets. Some days it is almost like water. I have tried Sulfa boluses but they do not help at all. What could be the problem? As far back as I can remember she has been like this, but she is still growing well!

Have you dewormed her?  If not,I would bring a fecal sample to your local vet.  They would check to see if she was any worms, cocci, or any type of internal parasite.  Even if you've dewormed her, I still would bring a fecal in.  Providing you have a close vet in your area.

how fresh is that hay? that might be your problem

Worm her again, with Paste, keep Corid in her water, and get some ALBON ® (sulfadimethoxine) boluses down her.

We give our calves Teramycin Tabs, twice a day for four days if they get scours. It has always cleared it up good even the bad cases.
