How is the cow bred? We have used Cyrus some but I wouldn't call him a maternal bull. He is going to add mass and bone. That's what he has done for us anyways.

I'm looking for a bull that would sire good show steers and heifers
And goodmaternal genetics would any of the purple reign bulls work

We've not had any experience with heifers from him but have had a few steers. The steers have always been to large framed to be competitive for us. They've had that late 80's look (1400-1500 lbs) and not finished. I have heard of others having some luck. Maybe they bred him to smaller framed cows.

Maybe the pic is too big.

Open it with Microsoft image viewer and save it with a smaller size?

Cotton herself was a great one but I don't think any of her sons have produced with consistency. I do like most of purple reigns bulls and I have also seen some nice calves out of Cracker Jack this fall. Kahuna is another one that has had some high sellers out of this fall.

Do you like milsaps calves

Not really. The ones I have bred didn't have the performance I was looking for. But the heifer I retained from the mating are doing well as momma cows. I believe there are better options out there for show prospects.

Our best sire groups are Perfect Timing, Lock N Load, Kahuna, Cracker Jack, and Grizzly. Hard to say which is the best, people that have been through so far each have their favorites.

Hard drive makes good steers but haven't heard much about the females in production.

We have a pure country coming in about 3 weeks. Have heard some good things but it will be our first.
