Holding steer

Just weighed our county fair steer today.  He weighed 1280.  We have just about 30 days to the fair.  He still needs a bit of cover over his ribs, although he has a decent finish otherwise (a bit of fat starting at his tail head).

Any advice on feeding him for the next 30 days?  Was thinking about maintaining our current ration (about 12% steam rolled corn & added fat).  Assume he may get to 1340 normal weight, then I could shrink him for our weigh in.

Any ideas?

flaked corn and fat, sounds about as conducive to fatten one up as you can get...I'd say your doing all you can.
