This is a Naughty Pine X Maine Heifer that we raised and I just wanted to see what people thought of her

I think she could be a good steer momma.. these shorter rib powerful maine females don't show in the breeding heifer classes as well as some of the deeper ribbed females

Just make sure you breed her to a bull that will add lots of depth of rib.

I see this heifer as having plenty of depth, but too short in her body, which puts her out of balance.  She is a tad trashing in her neck and a little coarse.  I agree she looks like she could make a good Steer Momma.  I also think with enough hair, a real good clipper/fitter could get her in the purple at some smaller shows.

We had a FR Magic heifer just like her, except a tick longer, and got her as far as Res Nat'l Champ Bred & Owned Maine-Anjou.
