It only takes 7cc Dex plus 5cc Lutalyse. Used this combination alot on dairy cattle.

The mucous plug usually is passed when the cervix starts to dilate and usually with in 12 hours there will be a calf on the ground. So if I were you I would hold off on inducing her. Good luck hope all goes well. How far past her due date is she?

she isnt past her due date yet she would be early but we will be gone when she is due so if her calf is not down a couple days before we leave we are going to induce her

I induced one of my cows this year cause she went 8 days over her date and i gave her 25cc of dexamethazone and 5cc of lute and she calved about 16 hours later.
Just make sure on your date. Good luck

Wyatt if you decide to induce your cow, ck with your vet to get the proper dosage of both drugs. If you short her on the Dex. you may not get the job done. It is the drug that gets the ball rolling.
