Insurance

I am looking to buy an more expensive heifer and am curious at what point everyone else insures.

I didn't respond with a dollar amount, because it seems to float with the animal and how good things are going that year!  I look back and laugh at the times when we rushed out and insured $500 pigs and now we buy a calf worth 10 times that and we don't.  It's all relative! (thumbsup)

I figure if you don't have the money setting in an account to replace the animal if it dies, you better insure it.
