Anyone had a calf get fluid sack on the back of their steers knee? I have one who has aboyt a half golf ball size. Took him to the vet and vet seems to think it's the fluid for his knee and the ligaments in this swelling and draining would create more problems. I tried DMSO and it just made the swelling hard. Does anyone have and suggestions on possible fixes for this?

If it's that size I would just leave it alone other than some hydro therapy.  I agree with your Dr not to drain it.  If it is something you think will cost you in the ring at your fair then drian it the day before check in.

My daughters steer has the same thing....I drained it to see what would happen and it was full of a clear fluid.  Her steer is very gentle so it was easy to do with a 3/4" x 16 ga, needle.  It was back full again by morning but I did figure we could do it before the show at least.
