joint soundness???

Besides expensive feed additives, does anyone out there have any home concoctions or cheap ways to help joint soundness and any way to help those pasterns from "popping" ? Something like fish oil tablets was an idea i had but wasn't sure.

This discussion could raise some red flags, but something like DMSO can help out a little bit. If you have a good vet, they might write you a prescription for the stronger stuff, I won't say what that is as I don't want to get jumped on, but there is both a powder and paste out there that can do just what you are looking for. However, it cannot be used in a market animal.
