These bulls are only 6 months old, and will be for sale in December or January.  I just wanted to post some pics and get some opinions.  If you like what you see you can email me at [email protected], or pm me for more pics or details.  You can also check us out at www.bancroftcc.webs.com

The top 2 bulls are out of Limestone Great Divide. The bottom bull is  out of Hoover Dam.

They're all very very good quality bulls. It will be exciting to see how they develop.

Nice bull calves!  I've got a Great Divide due in March and we just bought 2 cows that were bred to Hoover Dam that are due in Feb.  I'm excited to see our calves out of these two bulls.

Thanks, and as far as your great divide and hoover dam calves, I think you will be extremely pleased. We have about 20 great divides on the ground and love them all.  We have 7 Hoover Dam calves and our very happy with all of them.

Just weaned our first Great Divides and they are phenomenal!  Love the muscle expression and capacity in them all.  The heifers are very broody and soggy yet feminine and the bulls are extremely masculine, soggy and super good nutted.  I also love the breed character in them, they are prototypical angus breed character, which is getting harder to find.

You described his calves perfectly.  I'm exremely excited about our GD heifers and their potential.  I plan on breeding them to either Hoover dam or mcatl pure product. Overall I haven't been more excited, or pleased with a particular  bull in a long time.  My question is why isn't he discussed more?  Because I can't imagine people using him, and not being pleased with the results.  Thoughts or comments are welcome and appreciated.

It would be my guess that Great Divides "numbers" aren't good enough for a lot of the purebred breeders.  This is sad since he is exactly the kind of bull most of them need to be using to fix up the phenotypic flaws in a lot of the angus cowherds today.  I am retaining 3 sons of GD for in-herd use, all 3/4 brothers and am going to pound him in via a.i. next spring.

19.7 inch ribeye  that's the biggest I've heard of.  I would say you are right on the #'s A&T ( calving ease- both direct and maternal are poor, grid value is pretty poor as well), but the rest look pretty good.  I would definitely say he has a place, just may get looked over mainly because of calving and grid values-epd's.  Calves look good! :)
