I seen this bull in Nebr the other day thought he looked really good, I was wondering if anybody had used him on angus cows and what his calver were like.
I haven't used him but know where he came from , Krosch Cattle Co in Kingsley IA. These guys have been in the business a long time and have some excellent cattle ! Saw a pair of full sibs (heifers) to him the last time I was out there , really good !

I don't think that's two shots of X339U...it just shows the dam's pedigree twice. X339U sired pretty stylish cattle and decent daughters. He was heterozygous black and carried the spot gene, and in the early days of black cattle, not completely predictable. But he was homozygous polled and made pretty decent cattle from the ones I've seen and remember.
Not really an outcross on the Simmental side as Nichols Legacy G151 is out of a Burns Bull X339U cow. He is in the pedigree of several popular AI sires such as CNS Dream On L186, Hooks Shear Force 38K, etc.
