What is everyones experiences with this bull? he sure has a pretty impressive picture but how do the calves look? Any thoughts would be great!! <cowboy>

I have a Darkhorse bull calf on the ground now.  He's a late October and he's out of a Heatwave / Babe Ruth heifer.  He had to be pulled, he was a 78 lb BW.  He is really good so far, good bone and structure with an exceptional hip and awesome hair which is pretty atypical of a pure bred angus.  My daughter will show him next year.  I am really pleased with him.

I haven't personally used him but know one of the owners. He is a good bull but tbh I'm not sold that he has quite as much muscle as it would seem in that pic.

But thats just my opinion....

champion angus heifer at the Kansas Junior Livestock Show was a darkhorse

+1 for Mccannfarms.  I saw him at Nichols and I agree.  As for PB cows, I would use him on power cows with great CE that need prettied up.

Agreed! If you have cows that have a lot of substance but want to add some style Darkhorse would be one to consider.
