I just wanted to let the sp gang know that most of the sales worth seeing (IMHO) will be on this site! Enjoy! Hope to see some of you all soon!
CPL said:Are you talking about the Denver sales? The ones I've looked into require a subscription. What's interesting is that I've contact some of the sale managers and they either had no clue about the subscripion fee, except for one that said he heard it was going to be installed, but then Brad told him it was going to work and they were taking it down. They actually told me to wait because they were supposed to be getting rid of the subscription system, but I said no I've gotten emails that tell me all about it. So they were going to call Brad. haven't heard anything else.

1) make it affordable to web-cast a sale
2) make it affordable to watch a sale

P.S. I am open to any suggestions that will help us make a more secure, trustworthy and reasonably priced business
P.S.S. The competition can boast that they don't charge to view but the bandwidth will grow to a point that some sales can not afford internet bidding. It's mathematics of large crowds and bandwidth bills. My goal is to make internet bidding available to all sales (even sales with 30 head - like the Denver Angus Bull Sale)

True livestock professionals should have better sense... internet sales broadcasts are a form of advertising through which it is possible to stimulate interest, and therefore, sales. Your job is to promote business, not deflate it by charging viewers who may login to watch out of curiosity but return to buy at a later date. Who knows how many buyers will be lost because they were refused permission to view a sale without paying your exhorbitant fee for ONE SALE ??!!! Especially in this economy, sales promoters should be bending over backwards to encourage as many attendees and viewers as possible to all events and venues. Congratulations for shooting yourself in the foot... along with all of us who depend on the Denver show and sale to establish guidelines for the year.
