My Northern light x Heat wave Daughter calf.

This is a little bull calf that was calved on my daughters birthday. The dam is a heatwave daughter that my daughter won her county show with. the sire is Northern light. Caved un assisted at 63lbs. Tell me what you all think. Good or bad.

I think you can always tell at an early age if you have a good one. You got a good one. Nice calf.

we have one bred the same way (northern lite on a heatwave) that was a first calf heifer too coincidentally. she took a little longer to bloom because she didn't get a whole lot of milk and wasn't able to get creep but now that she is on feed she is really developing. i think she has alot of future. hopefully the sire will negate some of the terminal characteristics  of heat wave daughters.

oh, and she looks good. especially for being so young.

looks kinds straight behind, but otherwise nice clubby shape.  a little bold on the shoulder for me.  i keep saying i will never post a picture of a clone, but those heat wave front ends and cube pelvis' scare the heck out of me.  nice topline, tail set.
