I've only seen a few calves out of him but I think I will try using him instead of his sire Suh in the future.  The calves seemed to be more moderate with more rib shape than I have been getting from Suh.  Hopefully, he moderates birthweight as well compared to his sire.  This is only an observation from a handful of calves though.

A better word may have been "stouter."  I like my Suh calves and I have a couple really good Suh cows.  He put plenty of performance in my calves but some of it came from extra frame and a head start with extra birthweight.  I know everybody says Maine epd's are worthless but I think they are useful from certain programs that have been reporting data for a long time.  Ante Up's epd's are very similar to Suh's.  Again, just an observation from a few calves.
