Very refreshing to hear a judge talk cattle like that and tell exactly what he was thinking.

Judge was Dan Hoge, Illinois. Division 1 Angus Steer, Schafer, Division 2 Placke, Division 3 Bremer, Division 4 Hoblyn a Monopoly, Division 5 Market Heifer Heim.

Finals tomarrow. Division 4 should be champ IMO.

Personally, I really liked how he wasn't afraid to pick them moderate, not necessairly the heaviest muscled, or the hairiest.  He wanted them SOUND, efficient, and productive, that would go to the rail with a quality carcass.  Like RSC said, he talked them how he saw them... and I think he saw them spot on, for exactly what they were.  <party>

i love showing under dan hoge. some people don't like him because he will use something different but he is consistent and looks for the same thing.
