Need Help

We have a steer that chews on his halter rope when he is tied. We are afraid that he is going to get lose by chewing all the way through the rope like he has at home. Is there anything that we can do to stop this? Has anyone else had this problem? Is there something we could put on the rope?

Wet his halter rope and put some Cayenne pepper on it.

I had the same problem a few years ago with a Dr who steer.he chewed threw 38 leads/neck ties. Tried everything on it, nothing worked. Finnaly I gave up and used a chain on him at tie out. Never had an issue with that getting chewed threw.

We have taken a piece of pvc pipe about a foot long and slid down the rope then they can't bother the rope.
