Buy a 5-gallon bucket of feed grade soybean oil from your feed dealer (they may have to special order it).  I get mine for around $48.  Top dress a half a cup per head into their grain and stir it up.  Stabilized rice bran is good, but way more expensive, so we use it more at the end.

Get an old slow cooker or crock pot. Throw in a cup or two of whole corn, and then put in twice as much water. Put a timer on the pot and cook the corn for about 4 hours. When you do it right the corn will absorb the water and dissolve the hard shell. Let it cool and then top dress it on the calves feed. It will through on the fat.

What are the Protien  and fat percentages of your ration?  You may only need to add corn.
