The galloway breed has the most variation in color of any breed I can think of.  They can be black, dun, red, golden, or white.  This doesn't count the belted color pattern.  Each of these colors has its own herd book.

Mark H- you are correct.  The Fullblood Galloways are Blacks, Reds, and Duns (dark dun to silver).  These are registered in the same herdbook.  

Attached is the herdbook rules for the American Galloway Breeders Assoc.  The Canadian Galloway Association is basically identical.

This bull (Yukon) is a registered white Galloway.

correct yukon is actually from the states brought out of the denver show and brought here to ontario
