Opinions on sons steer! ****photos***

I was wondering what peoples thoughts were on my sons steer.. Be honest please!  He weighed 1045 on April 1st thinking he is about 1140 today.  Much appreciated!

Where are you from?  What venue are you showing him at?  It's difficult to see in the pictures but does he has a lot of hair? 

Depending on what your show requirements are may affect my opinion I guess.

He looks like a steer that will defanitly compete at a county fair.  He looks like an easy fleshing guy that will have a nice cover when you run your hands over him.  A knock is that he may be a little tight chested; not as deep in the belly. 

BTW, I'd rather put him in my freezer then a clubby steer  (thumbsup)

I am going to take different approach to this.
He looks like a solid commercial type calf, for a show steer I would like to see a little more muscle in the calf, a stronger topline, and a deeper flank. I also am not sure of the way he is standing, stretched out, it could be an indicator there are some structural problems, it may also be the ground he is on, not sure.
Your son has done a good job feeding him and he turned out well.

Rankecattle, I do not care if it is commercial or cluby, feed them right and either will be great in the freezer.

He is going to show at Michigan State in June, He shows at a Michigan County fair.  He was shown once at MSU in April and took third in his class.  He  has a descent amount of hair.  Can I put more muscle on him by walking him more?  And also how can I loosen him in the chest region and give him a deeper belly?  thanks for all the imput! <cowboy> <rock>
