I am going to take different approach to this.
He looks like a solid commercial type calf, for a show steer I would like to see a little more muscle in the calf, a stronger topline, and a deeper flank. I also am not sure of the way he is standing, stretched out, it could be an indicator there are some structural problems, it may also be the ground he is on, not sure.
Your son has done a good job feeding him and he turned out well.
