He is by far the best haired of the brothers. He's more moderate than Tool. We have been very please with the Tool calves so far. I would expect him to breed more hair in a more moderate package.vc said:He looks real good, What makes him better or different than "Tool" or do you think he will breed the same? I need to find a bull that looks like he does but without the Meyer (Cows already have Meyer influence)

IMO, if I were trying to try and promote a bull... I don't think the first thing out of my mouth would be hair. In JuCo judging, we were taught to state the most important first.. Last time I checked, hair was not exactly the highest priority.
Are you being serious?
He asked the difference between the two bulls. The biggest difference between them is hair and frame size.

Hwe brings up a good point with the hair bing a positive seems long and raight alot of the brothers like back lash have curly hair, something you should put some thought into the truth before you go critcizing.SJ8965 said:the truth said:SJ8965 said:He is by far the best haired of the brothers. No HE asked what makes him better than the other bull, and if you thought they would breed the same.... First words again..
Woody said:As usuall Im a day late but in your first description u said he is Flawless...... that would have been a good name. Thinkin about the whole linebreeding thing, what would happen if you bred c17 back to a Whiplash son? Just a thought. I do wish he was a year old so I could breed to him this spring. I dont think you will have much problem sellin semen on this guy.

Wondering what the actual birth weights were on Tool and Real Deal?
Also, what are the birth weights of the Tool calves?
Thanks!

Tools BW was 87 lbs The Real Deal was 90lbs both were ET calves and a couple days over. The Tool calves have averaged right at 85-86 lbs for the bulls.
Woody said:I couldnt take it any longer, I broke down and bought 5 straws of Tool! Its kinda stupid to ask this after I bought the semen but does Tool need to be used on a cow with a little simmi or maine like Mamas Boy does or is he better off on softer made cows?
