Our new baby

Today we had our first ever baby calf. He was born to our former show heifer. He is just the sweetest little thing ever.

We just weighed him about an hour ago. 63 pounds at 5 hours old. He surprised us. We were not expecting her to go for another couple of weeks.  He is doing good though. Up running around and already a nursing champ. Not bad for a first time momma.

Congrats!  We had our first a year ago....So much fun!!  My daughter complains that there are more photos and video of him on my phone than of her. (I think she might be right)    Enjoy!
