Paola, Ks calf sale

Did anybody go to the club calf sale yesterday in Paola, Kansas.  This was their first year to have a sale and I could not go as I was pheasant hunting and was wondering how it went.

It was a consignment sale for local breeders.  I think the Miami County Livestock Association was putting it on.

small crowd...no animals sold for over $1000 except for those protected by the breeder....a couple of heifers "sold" for around 1500 - 2000..

Atwoods had a couple of nice shorty steers...went VERY reasonable

The rest were just calves...$600-800.

Nice start though and I hope they can keep it up.
