My steer is 250 lbs under weight and I have a show in august. Any ideas on how to make him gain more

what are you feeding?  Does he need just weight or finish also?

he needs weight. He just about finished. I am feeding cracked corn, beet pulp, ddg pellets, oats. He i snot eating very good because it is so hot in nebraska

Try feeding twice a day, once about 6AM and once about 8AM. I am also from Nebraska and we are having good luck with this during these past couple hot days.

Took them few days to get use to the routine but I now have them going strong 30lbs per head (couple days only went 25lbs because of heat).
