I really like the OLCC Lady Adele really love her front end. She is a very very nice calf IMO. Really love her neck,  seems to be soggy and one of those easy feeding type that will bring you a good one to the lot well after her show life is over. Not taking anything away from the other cattle she just has the look for me..
The whole bunch is a nice set and ya'll should be proud of them. I like the americans <party>

Thanks to all that posted, we think the 1st heifer is something special as well and Adele has all the potential to be a great one we think!

I REALLY like the first one. Donor quality there!!! :)

Thank you!  The exciting part about her is her genetics are typically later maturing which could mean there is more to come with her! :)

the Gerts intrigue me because of their Shorthorn lineage-- do they do well in colder environments like Iowa?
A Gert/Shorthorn cross could have potential.

Had a top notch Gert operation just about 15 miles from where I grew up in Southern IL.  The differences b/w there and where I'm at now (close to corner of IL/ IA/ MO, is about 10-15 degrees most days- more snow, less ice.

.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Yes, there are gert ranches in states like New York, Missouri, Illinois etc. They handle themselves very well in most climates.

Gerts are extremely adaptable. There is a herd in Canada also. There is a half blood gert heifer in Arkansas sired by Jakes proud jazz that is nothing short of amazing. The first heifer was FREE by the way thanks to our breeds donated heifer program... Something no other breed does. Good luck this year with your outlaw cattle company genetics!

I sold a gert bull to a breeder in Canada.  They have sent me several pics of gerts with icicles on their eyelashes and such.  Also look at the December issue cover picture (www.santagertrudis.com) .  This pic was taken at our place with 2 foot of snow on the ground.  They do grow hair and will acclimate to their environment.
