justintime said:I wish I could have made it down to the Schrag sale as it looked like a very good offering by all the contributors. I would have liked to especially see the lots 25-28 as they are all out of Bollums Elsie's Jade female as she was bred here and resulted from a set of embryos the Bollum's purchased from us.

So that bull will be living in IL-- I will be down to Moultrie county to see in person.
Your take on the two bulls? The expensive one lacked 'flash' in his picture- and the other seemed interesting to me from the rear profile.

This is just my personal opinion. I thought he cut up in the flank a little, maybe a just little straight on the back wheels. The biggest issue I had was on his right front foot . When he walked, his pastern would bow out sideways pretty bad . If you watch the video, you will see about 2 or 3 times he will stumble on that foot. He did have some meat in him.
The 20 bull was pretty nice and I thought a pretty good buy at $3600. Tim was pretty pleased with him when he arrived yesterday afternoon.
Melissa said:Thanks to everone for a great sale! We are very excitied about our Whats Up calves and are quite proud of the Man Up bull. We love his mucle and extra rib shape. The Whats Up calves averaged $8757 and he will see much more use here in Marion!
Thanks again, Schrags
Doc said:The What's Up calves in general I really liked. I bought 2 for people giving a little over $12,000 for one. I thought that 14b was an awesome female and I went to $15k on her. The calves had some really good bone to them and some muscle to them with plenty of top. I thought the 20 bull moved really well .
