I had a calf born on March 16. At a week old he had surgery on a hernia. It wasn't a naval hernia, it was located halfway between naval and testicles. It was about the size of a golf ball, and the hole was just big enough for me to stick my middle finger in comfortably. He had healed well, but now a month later I think he tore his incision as it appears he has another hernia in the same spot, however it is hard to determine due to scar tissue.
Is it worth having another surgery, and will his chances of recovery be as good with it being in same spot?
Also will this calf ever be able to show, as he is one of my top prospects this spring?
Thanks for the help guys!
