And I watch mine closely too, just don't want to take any chances with this heifer because she is pretty good. So what does Chopper add/ take away from a cow?firesweepranch said:Seen several out of him, and we bred some heifers to him for the spring. Go back and look at my last reply, I put some links there for you on some of his progeny, including video. As far as what kind of cows he works on, he breeds very similar to his sire (Steel Force) and Grand Sire (Dream On). He will pretty them up, clean them up, and add some style. If they are sloppy fronted, not sure how much he will clean them up but he should not add any. Look at the photos from Griswold, not much neck on those girls!
I was thinking the same thing.TexasHeat said:SS Goldmine L42
I have one Grandmaster in production and she did a great job. Then I have one bred heifer to him that will calve in the spring. Then I kept every heifer calf by him again. Love them all. They do not knock you socks off at first but then just keep coming on. I will be my clubby heifers to him this year also. Also kept a bull that we used for clean up and love him. Masculine, free moving, not the best fronted but not sloppy. I have tried for a good photo of him but I am not a photographer it seems.ALTSIMMY 79 said:Davidsonranch, on the grandmaster note, i wouldn't get bummed out quite yet. Keep in mind that most of the cornbelt states were in a severe drought this season, my grandmasters were out of heifers so that was 2 strikes against them from day one. Ive seen some that ive really liked but the bull calves out of him might be where its at!

My daughter fell in love with a red heifer with a white face that was sold in a private bid off sale this fall, she was a Chopper out of a Whizard 2 year old female. She went for a bit of money.

How would you compare him to Amazon? Have you seen any Amazon calves?
