Our experience has been that if you like them when they are born you will love them as yearlings but they will go through a 'growth stage' and look a little hard some time in between.
Please keep in mind that we don't recommend using him on 1st calf heifers.

David, would you say he reduces frame? Just curious. I had planned to use him on some larger framed simmi cows trying to moderate frame and add style? Am I on the right track?

I believe the reason there is some negative feedback is due the fact that many people used him as a calving ease bull before he was proven and didn't have great luck. Cranking calves out of heifers will sour most people.
