I was just wondering if anyone had any pics of some top quality state fair steers as calves who sold last fall. I've been trying to search for them, but it's been hard. I'm just trying to train my eye into seeing what a "state fair quality" calf is as a 400-600 pound baby. That way when I'm out looking for calves this fall, I can kind of know what a state fair quality calf looks like and not get ripped off.

Go to Swanson Show Cattle website. The calf that just won a state fair is the same calf in the picture that says "Drooling Yet?"

Here is a shorthorn that we raised. He was 4th overall at the Wisconsin State Fair.

The Shorthorn was shown by someone I know named Ben, i saw that calf in December then March.  That was a damn nice calf every time I saw it... He had another Maine that was real good and was shown as a cross at the WI State Fair and one it's class. I'll try and find a photo of him.
