Should I be concerned with my heifers sweating. I took there temp and it is around 102 my Vet told awhile back that is Normal. Just went threw a bought of Pneumonia about 10 days.
Could it be condensation from the temp. changes that have been occurring? I've never really heard of a calf sweating per say. 102.3 degrees is normal temp. for cattle.
Not sure where your located but we started having a lot of condensation on our calves with the weather changing last week. BUT then I notices one of our steers was drying so stupid me started having my daughter blow him out before school. He ended up coming down with a fever and she said when he didn't dry like the others chances were he was sweating with the fever...and after a round of antibiotics he's dry by the time he's done eating. Don't know if that helps but thats our story.
