What have the birth weights been on The Maine Man calves and do they come fairly easy ? Would he be ok for a second calf on a half Angus cow ? Are the steers better than the heifers ? Any pictures of his calves would be great . Thanks

i used him for a flush this month and bred to him in june... thinking I-80 with a little more performance

He could have calves born this spring from breedings last June... certainly could have some fall calves... does anyone remember when semen came available

with the questions regarding I-80 and semen I am sure several are thinking about his maternal brother Maine Man

We have a couple Maine Man calves selling on our pasture sale in a couple weeks.  They will be maternal siblings to the Champion Maine heifer at the 2009 Iowa State Fair.  There will also be calves sired by Predator out of the same cow from comparison.  Weather permitting we will have pictures and videos up by early next week!  http://www.mccartanshowcattle.com
