To everyone on the board,

First off, I want to thank everyone who has been a part of this board for their efforts to improve our wonderful industry.

Secondly, I would just like to let everyone know that I will not be much of a part of this message board in future. I have taken a job as the Livestock Judging coach at Colby Community College and thus feel that it is better that I don't post on here much anymore. It has been a difficult decision for me, but one that I feel is in the best interest of the school I will now be representing, the kids I am teaching, as well as myself. It is nothing that any of you have done. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading many posts on this board and feel that the future of our wonderful industry is in great hands. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of website where so many people have so many different views, but they are still able to discuss the majority in a polite and respectfull manner. I will still check in from time to time and if you have any direct questions feel free to "PM" me and I will try and respond in a timely manner. Thanks again. Take care and god bless you all.

JImmyski,

Congratulations.  You are inhereting a great program that Matt Ellicott really did a lot for.  I'm sure you will be great and will enjoy it.  Many miles in a van lie before you!!!

I really wish you the very best and my kiddo will probably be calling you for a visit next year.  Please do drop by the board and let us know how your new team is doing and how the contests go!

I think some input from the road would truly be welcomed.  Take care.

Jimmy -- this is VERY close to home for me, as we live only 90 miles or so from Colby -- was just there on Monday.

Please feel free to call, write or stop by with your new team here -- we are just across the border into Neb about 5 miles on Hwy 17, so if you want to bring the team to our ET place of business, please do so. Be it known that I was one of the TEAM as well, many years ago in Minnesota -- I loved that time of learning and traveling to the judging contests -- did well too I might add.

Again, congrats on your choice of work -- it is very fullfilling. I would enjoy helping you with anything you might feel a need of -- just ask!

Have a great career -- you are going ot have lots of chalenges, but many more fullfillments in deed!

Jimmy, you have given us some really good insights on what judges look for & why they do the things they do. I wish you the best of luck & always know you are welcomed to just visit!

Jim - Congrats! Teach them to be competative but also teach them to look at them through a cattlemans eyes (not always the same) as well. I love that part of the country and have several friends out there. If you're needing someplace to work out give old NBAR a call he likes to help young people. Good luck!

You have the chance at a job that many of us wish we had the opportunity and good fortune to obtain.  Well, when we were younger, of course. I doubt I'd wanna log that many miles with Collegians again.

Good Luck,

GB

Thank you all for your kind words. It is because of you guys that I even joined this board. I stayed as an outsider for a while just reading and watching, but realized that it would be okay to join in. You all are a great group of individuals who I have enjoyed being able to read your opinions and input some of my own on a variety of topics. Thanks again to all of you for your support. You don't know how much I really appreciate it. I will still check in from time to time and if any of you would like to have a judging team stop by and look, just let me know. I am always in the market to find new places to stop and practice, especially in the east and south, since I'm not near as familiar with those areas. Take care, god bless, and I hope that everyone has a wonderfull holliday.
