Should I bother? My calf's hair is currently trained but her winter coat is starting to come in. Should I still be brushing and training the hair (too cold to wash and don't have a blower) since it's all going to fall out in the spring?

Thanks a lot!

I would focus on show practices: tying, leading, sticking etc. You can brush/comb while tied to get the calf better used to you and calm it down more, but if you don't have a blower I would not worry about it.

Definitely continue to work the hair. While he is just tied up, learning to holds head up. Don,t make it a priority like working with him but it will be much easier to work the new coat when it comes in if whats remaining of the winter coat is trained. WORK THE LEG HAIR the most, try and keep this hair great at all times and maybe he won't lose all of it which would be great as you can always use more leg hair ;D
