What do you think about the angus bull Hot Rod?

I'm thinking about breeding my angus heifer, which is sired by Sankey's Lazer bull to Hot Rod? What do you think about hot rod? comments....

If you can get semen on him. If not, you need to look at DAJS Shockwave, a good Hot Rod son, he also is a little hard to get semen on right now because demand has been high. Is she a heifer? If so I would go with Connealy Final Product or SAV Brilliance.

Hot Rod needs to be used on a clean fronted female.  I would not use hot rod on heifers. If she has some guts then Final Product would work, otherwise Brilliance would be a good choice.

is the Shockwave bull owned by the Satree's? She just calved on the 6th of december had twin bull calves unassisted... is Shockwave hard to get semen?

Did not know that she had already calved. Hot Rod can be used on 2nd calf heifers.  Shockwave is available, http://www.cattlevisions.com/Angus/DAJS_Shockwave.php, but you would have to contact Satree's for certificates.  I haven't found any on the bull.

You might want to also consider Silveiras Style or Gambles Convoy.

Hot Rod would be ok for your second calf. He does throw nice calves
