I made this website for my farm in class and was just wondering what everyone's thoughts on it are. Once I decide that I am 100% happy with it I will publish it so it can be searched but for now you can only find it with this link. Any comments are appreciated!

Very good web site. Adapts to a well phone which may sites are now viewed that way. The only thing is the tag on the bottom for contacts takes up a bit to much room when looking on a phone. Hope this helps it is a great looking and well put together site (thumbsup)

Excellent!

Straight and to the point, and easy to navigate.

Once it gets a little warmer, get out with the cows and take some pictures of them.  That way visitors can see what you have in the herd as well as what you have sold or shown!

Publish it!  You can make changes after it is published.  There is certainly NOTHING on there that should be holding you back.

If you had not mentioned that you made it yourself, I would have assumed you paid some industry professional to make it!  It really looks good!

I am a teacher trying to get students to "try" the many so-called free web site builders.  I am going to show this to my class.  How long did it take you to make this?  And did you use some photo editing programs to create some of the things that you used on your site?  Your logo on the home page and the background is really neat.  Unfortunately for my students, you have set the bar pretty high!

I am curious to see if your site is loaded with pop-up ads once you publish it.  That seems fairly common with some of the "free" site builders.

Thank you for all the nice comments and suggestions, I will definitely take them into consideration and I plan to publish it right away.

Coach: I made my website on wix.com. Wix is really easy to use and you don't need a background in advertising to use it. This was a class project, but it was much easier for the students who planned to actually use their websites, because otherwise you don't put as much effort into it.  It's hard to say how long it took me. We spent a lot of time in class on it and then I spent time on it after class as well. I also had a few friends and a few people in the industry look it over for me so I could make the appropriate changes.

The logo was made by a graphic designer, so I can't take the credit for that. I hope that there won't be too many ads once I publish it, but I do have the option to pay a small fee (I think it's as low at $9/month) and I think that would get rid of the ads. It's certainly not perfect, but being that my farm is very small right now and I don't have the money to hire someone to design me a professional website I'm pretty happy with it.

I've been looking into the wix websites - yours looks great.  They look fairly easy to put together.

I have also used wix. Used it to build my dad's insurance company's website. I liked it really easy to use. Thinking of making my own for cattle someday.
Nice Herefords by the way.

I recently updated my website so I thought that I would share the new and improved version with you guys. I agreed with all of the suggestions that were made so I was able to incorporate those changes into the new version. I also chose to pay wix to upgrade my site to get rid of the ads which I think makes it look a lot more professional. Purchasing my own domain name (which only costs $10/year) was the finishing touch to make it exactly what I wanted. I wish that there was a way to see what I had before- I thought that it was alright but being the perfectionist that I am (both a good and a bad thing) I wanted it to be perfect. With some planning, a lot more pictures and 25+ hours of work remodelling things I am really proud of what I have now!

Website looks great Larissa.  I've personally used both WIX and Weebly and I much prefer the weebly sites' look and feel.  Also if using the free version, the ads are much less intrusive.  Just an FYI for anyone looking to try one.
