I have several open heifers that are high % Maine and a couple of heatwave daughters.  I'm looking for a Maine bull with calving ease and good maternal traits without giving up too much performance or frame.  Any thoughts are welcome!

What is the breeding on the High % Maine-Anjou heifers?  If the bloodlines are acceptable, I would use Kadabra(makes 'em stylish)

Mercedes Benz and Hard Core are what the maine heifers are out of.    Do Kadabra daughters make good replacements?

I've seen some good mommas out of witch doctor.
I still use some Witch Doctor. Kadabra makes great females, but like most others, they can get straight if mated to straight cows...

I agree. Kadabra might not be right with the Hard Core.  I don't know much about Mercedes.  Witch Dr calves can be pretty narrow and often add some frame. As always, my first pick for maternal genetics is FR Magic 179X
