Honestly their shoulders were not that bad. He wasn't the smoothest in the barn but honestly with the mass they had and the foot and bone he looked uniform. Overall they looked better then their competition.
Stout made, but yes they were rugged. BUT, compared to ALL the other new little fluff balls at stud they were vastly better animals. You would just have to compare them to the other new bulls without their display fluff and they were much better animals in my opinion.
Saw the bull at stud right after Denver, he was nice, nothing amazing though, none of the new bulls were. Best bulls there were easily I Believe and Unstoppable. Maternal perfection was nice too. MAB clones looked the part. Lots of little crippled hair balls that won't grow there too.
Here is my opinion on all of this. I thought it was a low blow of Phil to do what he did by getting clones of someone else's bull. Honestly it has just made me lose more respect for him (none to begin with anyways). A lot of the promo business is PR, and this does not make it better. You really...
EPDs are worthless to most clubby breeders, (some say all the time, I would agree with that.) but your right on the bull pictures, most are very young in photos, it would be great to see mature pics.
I wouldn't call him clubby either, but good comparison with Maximus. Wish he had some more lower quarter but I really like him. Especially bred to some smaller deep sided cattle. Maybe WMW daughters
I would go with Heat Wave from those two options. May be a tad hard haired with solid gold x IW combo. Smilin Bob works awesome on soggy moderate whiskeys though!
I already have a pretty good idea of what I want to do, just seeing if steer planet can make me think about it more. I have a Carney Man x angus cow that is very impressive. She is truly a dual purpose female, I don't have any pictures though. Anyways, what i am wanting to do is breed her for...
