Lot 57 was really nice. She brought 16,000 not 1600 like the report says. There are a couple typos on it

    Hard Whiskey

We have 2 et calves this yr out of him and our Meyer donor cow. We really like the calves big hipped, big boned and pretty fronted. He cleaned up our cows neck quite a bit.I'm skeptical on how fertile his daughters will be since he didn't freeze semen right away. Anyway as to what he clicks on...

    salty dog

I was kind of thinking that too, Time will tell and maybe it will grow out of it, however, When I saw Salty Dog in Denver I agree with people big bone and big hair, but after you got past the "WOW" factor of him on display and looked at his front end his toes pointed East and West not North and...

    Favorite Heifer Bull

I would NOT use My Turn on HFRS.  In my experience with him they don't come huge however I don't think they would come out of a hfr very good.  Plus with the hfr being out of Hollywood you would need to know the TH status.  I would suggest using an Angus bull like Northern Improvement or a bull...

CARPE DIEM BULL ,is he a heifer bull

We had an alias/who that had a Carpe Diem a couple weeks ago and it was also a very hard pull.  So hard we broke a chain in the process.  I'm sure people have gotten a long fine with him, but in our experience I would never consider using him for heifers.  Mostly one of those deals of a 3 way...

    clubby bulls

Both Echo and Recoil are pictured at cattle visions under Sim. Hybrids.  I have seen JBW's Echo calves at sale time and they always looks good along with the others.  My brother has seen Recoil in the pasture at JBW's and says he is a very impressive mature bull.

Red or Blue Heeler Pup Wanted

I am wondering if anybody has or knows of anybody that would have some Red or Blue Heeler pups for sale.  They don't have to be papered and I would prefer that the pups be out of working parents.  I am located in very north central Iowa and it would be nice if they were located with in a couple...

"NO BULL" Bred Hfr Sale catalogs....

I thought the sale went very well.  The high seller was lot 4 at 28,500.  The sale was very even from top to bottom and I don't know if you really could have gone wrong with any female on the sale.  Other than the top 5 everything hung in there pretty affordable.  We will be back next year for...

    Fall harvest conditions?

Just plain wet, fields are wet and corn is anywhere from 22-30 percent or higher and test weights are coming in late also.  Poor planting conditions wasn't the issue, planting conditions were excellent when the corn went in.  This however was very north central Iowa and I do know that southern...

    Hired Man

I don't have much experience with him, we had one calf out of Hired Man this spring and in our case he definitely added frame size, talked with trausch's herd man this spring and before I could tell him what we had he said "it didn't work at all did it."  He claims to breed him like you would...

    My Turn

We had a set of My Turn twins this spring out of a "big ole" Angus cow.  I will try to put the pictures on here.  The steer is sold but we still have the heifer.  Ours are the same as posted above, good but the hair isn't quite there, but agreed mostly crediting that to the cow.
