Thanks for all the ideas guys. The other thing I was considering was flushing her prior to breeding her when the time comes. I have flushed cows but never a heifer. Thoughts? Ill add that she is a growthy heifer, extra sound and deep. She could use a cleaner neck but she's not to bad.

Purchased this female a few weeks back, what's everyone's thoughts on her? She's a nov 2012 upgrade. What would you recommend breeding her to down the road?

I have a shorthorn steer hos just not gaining as he should and is getting a bit to tall. Hes been getting kalmbach 1/3 20# a day hes only weighs 890 and should be at 990 at this point. My crossbred steer and heifers are on the same bag feed and are doing great but hes just not pulling together...

I had the same problem a few years ago with a Dr who steer.he chewed threw 38 leads/neck ties. Tried everything on it, nothing worked. Finnaly I gave up and used a chain on him at tie out. Never had an issue with that getting chewed threw.
