Kentucky shows are generally geared for
Spring born calves. Most county fairs are
Summer shows and the state fair is the third week of August. The fall
Calf will be too small this summer and likely too big to hold over until summer of 2018
My room has a concrete floor with a drain, 4 inch thick walls with six inches of R-30 insulation packed in there, and is 12x13. We run a 24000 btu AC unit with a cool bot. It keeps one steer at about 40 degrees all summer. It is relatively cheap (125) on utilities. We are very happy with it
You bashed on him earlier in this post and I don't recall him saying a thing about shorthorns. So your argument holds no water.
Posters like you are the reason the Steerplanet doesn't have the level of information and discussion it used to. Being polite and civil doesn't hurt or cost you a...
I read on here often. I rarely post.
I agree with Jive Turkey. It is getting old Knabe.

Has anyone used this bull? His pictures portray him as a soggy middled bull with a ton of depth.
He seems to have a great deal of muscle also. Has anyone seen him? Would you keep females out of him?
Kevin
I have had three WA's this week (2 heifers and 1 bull).
The birthweights are on the large side. I had an Ali daughter that had a 105 lb bull calf. I
had a 6807xShort that had one at 125 lbs. And I had an angusxlimmi have one at 102 lbs.
Luckily, all were born assisted. All are very heavy...
I'm glad your calves are OK.
But a little bit of unsolicited advice:
Get rid of the cow that chased you. At our place a cow that is aggressive takes the trailer to McDonald's!
My wife, children, parents and myself are more important than any cow. I don't care if she can raise a
