    FFA?

This is something I'm pretty passionate about.  We live in a semi-rural area.  Surrounded by lots of farms being sold for development.  I was never involved in FFA or any kind of ag program when I was growing up - but when I first had my kids and moved to where we are living now - it was still...

    Opinions of steer - please

Thank you all for your replies and help.  We finally got a grooming chute so maybe next time I'll have some better pictures of the steer with him a lot cleaner and neater.  I really appreciate your advice, comments & critiques!

He was born in September 07 and a month ago he weighed 1003.  We are new at showing steers - we've shown...

    Soup time of year!

Well, my low temp was 40 yesterday morning - real cold by my standards.  I fixed vegetable beef soup last night with vegetables from our garden last spring - not as good as my hubby makes but still good on a cold evening.

    Regional foods

Okay - how many of you have ever had a "real" cuban sandwich?  That's a sandwich made with cuban bread - not what is sold in grocery store bakeries - but the real thing baked in palmetto fronds - ham, fresh pork, salami, pickles, swiss cheese and mustard and mayo.  Hoagies and subs do not even...
