    green valley sale

Very sad to see what I considered a trail blazer in the Maine Anjou breed get out. He raised real world cattle that had plenty of eye appeal. I had the privilege of talking to Dennis this past May while looking at his donor cows. He was a little disappointed with the way the pen of 3 bull show...

Where does all the money come from?

I recently attended The Jones Show cattle High Standards sale and I was impressed by the set of cattle they had to offer. I thought the bred females were a little fat, but overall a nice set. I know beef prices are high, I am just wondering how you tap into that currency. Their sale avg. was...

Limestone Trifecta 714 , any daughters out there ???

Woody, you are right. I should have bought her, If there was more pasture not planted to corn, I would have bought her in a heartbeat. She came from a pretty prominent breeder too. <beer>

    Hard Whisky Heifers

The Hard Whiskey cattle that I have seen are hard doing cattle. I personally love the way the bull is bred, but am less than thrilled with the progeny I have seen in person.

Saw one heifer out of him this fall and she was cool. her dam was a Who Made Who. the heifer had cow power written all over her.

    Gvc Suh 01W

Suh works awesome on angus and simangus females. I would use him on a big bodied angus influenced cow.

    GVC Suh cow

We are really happy with our Suh cow. Only complaint is that she has thrown 2 bulls and no heifer yet. Opinions welcome. Her first calf by I80 sold to Winegardner as a bull. Her calf this year is a really good half blood simmy by Jades Dream Works (bull prospect). I AI bred her to Dr. Who this...

    OCC bulls

Anchor will change them in one shot, only problem is, for is pretty as his daughters are, we always had fertility problems with them. Legend works, but seems to really compliment the cow vs. changing her. Missing Link and Prototype have been the most consistent, functional we have seen. Duff...

    hard whiskey

Been told to use him on big, soggy made females (lots of guts). most say the calves are good, but can be hard doing.

    Anyone have Combustible Calves

Woody, he is down at Earls right now. Earl got 3 good jumps out of him. only reason semen is high right now is they had a batch go bad while trying to sex it. they are behind on filling orders

    I80 bull

After seeing the bull this weekend I would say he is right around 1000lbs. he is as wide as he is tall. had a better set of testicles than I thought he would, sound and really good hair.

    I80 bull

our biggest concern with him as a calf is that he would not be big enough. i will see him this upcoming friday at the ohio beef expo. I will be able to let you know how big he is then.

    I80 bull

this is a I80 bull I posted pics of last fall that we raised. We were not sure what to market him as. We felt he would be a good steer prospect, but would not get big enough in the end. Winegardner bought him as a bull and I must say, I think he looks pretty cool. He sells in their online sale...

    Angus bulls

first or second calf? for a first go round I would use a calving ease bull. We have had great luck using Connealy Thunder on heifers, if it is for her 2nd calf, I would maybe look at the Schaff bulls. sounds like your female is loaded as far as genetics go. love the fullback cattle.
