    it just feels so good! I was on calving night duty & didn't even mind that. Glad all have come unassisted though! I think my daily work-outs have really helped.     Cats & Cattle..

    one of the funniest things I've seen was when we had chickens running loose. One was in the pen w/ a steer & he grabbed it & shook it. chicken was fine but it was so funny. Red  (lol)

    there have been some concerns that they are ads for others cattle being listed. Unless you have permission from owners it shouldn't be done.     Gizmo calf

    Our Gizmo calf came at about 11:00 Saturday night. He's a bull calf, roan & looks like a meat wagon. He did weigh 115# ( came from cow) but was born unassisted. Will steer him. Named him Lee! Gizmo bull calf Gizmo & Gigolo Joe calves Red

    just checked calf again. Still acting somewhat better but still more listless than I'd like to see. Her one eye is somewhat glazed over/cloudy. Other eye is fine. No temp & usual calf poop. Any ideas on eye? Red

    I agree on not selling carriers without notifying buyer of status. However think of all that were sold before knowledge of defects & before tests were available. I'm not sure how you could regulate what a buyer does w/ the cattle they buy at the sale barn even after telling status. Red

    we drenched her again late last night & separated her & the cow into another pen from the rest. Calf was nursing this morning & acting much better. Red
