Excellent thoughts, I have bought and bid on a few online sales but never thought of them figuring out your budget.... good thing I haven't bid on two animals on the same sale yet!  I agree with others that you should always put a price on each individual calf and stay at or below that price.

I bought a bred last year and got this I-80 heifer calf.  A lot will go really high but if you are careful and do your homework I think there are some good ones at a price you can live with.

I have a couple Suh cows and I like them, they are good mothers and have done well for me.  He adds power and performance in the calves I have had out of him, be careful on birthweight I have had some 100lbers.  Some people would say the cows are too big but I am ok with it.  Mine are purebred...

Wulf's are doing this with limousin bulls and dairy cows, might try giving them a call, pretty sure they would buy the calves if you have enough of them.

Good suggestions,  I would breed them to purebred maine or simmy then cross em' up with mutts.  Hard Drive, X, Wisdom, Predator or maybe a high %, clean Whiskey son would be a good place to start.  Your resulting club calves would be much more consistent in my opinion.  Good Luck!

Nice looking heifer.  Is she registered Limousin, whats her pedigree? Simmental wouldn't be my first choice, I don't think the breeds compliment each other very well. What are your goals for the calf?  You almost have a purebred heifer, why not breed her to a purebred bull? We used Hunt...

If you think some of the calves are out of him and he tested good I would attribute the fact that he didn't breed as many heifers to a couple different things.  If you run more than one bull in a pasture there will be a more dominant bull that will breed a majority just like there is a boss cow...

Maybe she will grow out of it.  The first calf heifer lot at our place is always a free for all.  The next year they all get over it and are protective of their own calf.

Creep feed to me has always been fed to nursing calves in a "creep feeder."  I have heard the term used on this site in a lot of different ways.  I looked it up and wikipedia gave a surprisingly thorough and in my opinion correct description.  I will agree with rackranch that a 12-14% grower...

I have no experience with JJ or I-67.  I do have 3 I-80's this year and I'm impressed with the quality out of heifers, lots of bone and growing stouter by the day.  I think cows/heifers with some belly and hind leg set would work best.  BW 67-82 lbs, all the calves are PB maines.

Your question is pretty vague, you would get better answers if you were more specific.  I'm going to guess you meant how old would a heifer have to be before you can breed them... You can breed as soon as they hit puberty.  The age varies between animals and breeds, usually anywhere from 10-13...
