I go to High School, play two sports, run the calves, and somehow manage to keep straight A's.  I plan to major in animal science and go to Vet school (not sure where at though).  Most of my teachers were ok with me going to Denver, but some of them don't look very highly when I miss school...

It depends on the calf for me.  Some years I have had heifers that showed better their second time in that ring.  I don't attend shows for showmanship, but usually if they offer it, and it fits in the schedule I will participate.

We laid down sand and then that erosian mat stuff.  Then we laid down about 6 inches of bark and put ground up corn cobs on top of that.  The cobs keep the pens a lot drier than anything else, and with the herefords we don't have to worry about anything getting stained.  It has really worked...

I had a judge once that said that one of my heifers gave up size and maturity to the two in front of her.  Of course the two in front of her were two months older, so I was slightly angry.
