    With the price of feed is it worth putting that much into a steer you won't be able to be competition with??  Your letter of raising him for beef or selling him...you can find good steers for 1200-1500 range that you have a shot with...but he looks like a good real world type of steer

    Soak beet pulp in the water, that works for me. I have had them drink the whole bucket just to get the pulp on the bottom.
