Show Heifer DELUXE / Donor Prospect "SOLD!!!"

Appreciate a price and weight if you have one. Bangs? Vaccinations? Thanks.

    Recip Arrangement Wanted

Well, I'd have some interest, but being in Colorado, it'd be a bit far I think. Not to mention border issues.

    Entrance

Well I think the invitation for new people is always there. Lots of very fine people in the industry willing to lend a helping hand, especially to young people. But, as with all livestock and agricultural start ups, it takes a little bit of money to get in, and quite a bit to be great.

    Steel Chute & Clippers SOLD

Again, knocked some money off the clippers.

    Shorthorn website

No success on the Mac either. Server is having issues is what my diagnostic read.

    Ear Tags

Oh, this simply won't do! I just can't stand all these people quitting the Ritchey tags. Anyone use those solid arrow ones they have in their logo? I'd like to see how those work. As for us, never have lost a Ritchey tag that I can remember.

    Backed out.

    Fightin' Words

Well, I believe that the common consensus is that things are perfect the way they are. No change needs to take place. It is a separate industry with separate ideals. Which, I understand. Closed thread.

    Fightin' Words

I wasn't naming any names. I have no beef with any breeder that I know of. Numerous bulls have been promoted as calving ease and several 9 month old bulls show up at Denver every year to be promoted as A.I. sires before they're even producing semen. Several people have chimed in with intelligent...

Opinions of my kid's steer, please......

Well, here's the short of it. He's got some quarter muscle, some gut, and a decent front end. His toes look like they all point the same way, but that look down his top is a bit rough. However, I'd pour the corn to him and get him fat, as in F-A-T, fat. Covers a multitude of wrongs.  ;D

    Fightin' Words

Lol, I took the structure arguments from the Denver posts and the Sweetheart sale and rolled them all into one here. Coon footed was defined by a gentleman as so loose in the pasterns that they were almost too weak. Hence, technically you could breed a straight ended bull that pops on the...

    Fightin' Words

Jealousy? Upset? Not by a long shot. Just figuring out what some parameters are. I wasn't trying to dredge up the industry argument. That's beating a dead horse. But I did want to ask, like in my latest post, what is now deemed as the norm. I wonder if in the quest for superior livestock people...

    Fightin' Words

If this needs to be removed from steerplanet, that's fine. But when you promote a calving ease or "female" bull, I guess it kind of makes one think exactly what the aim is. I think Aussie is partly on track with the fact that clubbies are a different industry. That I understand, and that's not...

    Denver Bulls 2011

    Hey CAB, get my PM?

    Fightin' Words

I swear, this is not solely to stir the pot. I would like to hopefully get some good discussion out of this. But, when I look at posts like "calving ease club calf A.I. sire", it brings up a bunch of questions. First and foremost, what do we consider calving ease these days? We like to breed...

    Denver Bulls 2011

Cory talked about getting me some semen on him for my Augusta heifer. I think he's going to keep getting better. With as tall as my heifer is, I'm a little concerned with creeping that frame score. But a sound, good bodied, nicely balanced bull.

    Heifers Gone

One last go 'round. If she doesn't sell now, she will be for sale again this fall as a bred. She will be bred to a solid Black Angus bull for a plus calf and cleaned up the same way.

    Denver Bulls 2011

I did not like Cloud Nine. Looked to me like he might break his back in half if he tried to cover his front hoof print with his back leg. There are so many soft made, thick, good haired bulls out there that to me, soundness and overall structural correctness need to be paid a little closer...

    Need a Heifer

Give me a call at 719-330-4280. She's priced at $2500, but since we're also in Colorado, I'd be willing to get some Shorthorn semen and breed her for no charge at my facility, or else come breed her at your place.
