I don't know about Troubador, but don't use his son Choppin Wood on heifers. We had a 120# calf. Of course his dam is a Heat Wave.

Here's a bull calf we had out of this combo.

We sold the my turn at the snow angels sale at the ks beef expo. She looked nice but just didn't get very big. The red bull we are keeping and there was a thread I posted a recent picture of him. The proof will be in his calves. I like his pedigree being a couple generations away from Heat Wave.

You remember correctly. Last year we had three bulls and one heifer from this mating. The cow had a big flush and we have had good conception!

We have had six bob calves so far. Four heifers and two bulls...all out of the same money man cow. Good calves, one red the rest black. The one tonight was over 100 pounds but the rest have been between 80 and 90 pounds. We haven't had to assist any so that's a plus and we are expecting five...
