whats the knock on my turn's calves???

We had a My Turn x Heatseeker last year. She was a standout from day one but she didn't get very big. That might be partly because of the cow. You have to be very selective as to what you breed her to because of the clubby gentics in her background! I have not seen the MT since December. Have...

    Bodacious bull calf

Our Bodacious only weighed 75-80. She gets better every day.

    Gucci or Predator?

There might not be much difference in these bulls but which one would work better on a Money Man x Angus for females. She's 50% Maine and 50% Angus. Gucci would make a High Percentage Maine and Predator would result in a Mainetainer.

    Choppin Wood bull calf

Try to sell as a steer. Could show as shorthorn plus I believe even though his color is wack!

    Choppin Wood bull calf

This CW calf is out of a purebred shorthorn cow. He was very big at birth but was unassisted. I think some people are curious about Choppin Wood so hope this helps.

    Troubadour's Birthweight

I don't know about Troubador, but don't use his son Choppin Wood on heifers. We had a 120# calf. Of course his dam is a Heat Wave.

    Flush

Came across this thread and thought I'd update on conception. We have implanted 25 of these embryos and gotten 15 calves over the past two years. One died last year though...We are going to flush this cow again this spring to a maternal sire. The donor got AI'd to Monopoly 2 last spring and is...

    Hired Man or Tiger Woods

There's a chance he will stay a bull. Just have to see how he develops.

    Smilin Bob calves

Finally got a couple pics. Both are heifers. None of the bull calves really stand out but the Bob calves get better with time.

    Tiger Woods on Shorthorn

This is the only shorthorn we bred to Tiger Woods and the first TW we've had. We have another shorty due to Choppin Wood. Have no idea how that will turn out. Here is the dam's pedigree. No Trump, Sonny, Proud Jazz, or Double Stuff. Mark Tenenbaum sold us the cow. 3744349 PHA-F TH-F LEN RU...

    Smilin Bob calves

We sold the my turn at the snow angels sale at the ks beef expo. She looked nice but just didn't get very big. The red bull we are keeping and there was a thread I posted a recent picture of him. The proof will be in his calves. I like his pedigree being a couple generations away from Heat Wave.

    Smilin Bob calves

You remember correctly. Last year we had three bulls and one heifer from this mating. The cow had a big flush and we have had good conception!

    Smilin Bob calves

We have had six bob calves so far. Four heifers and two bulls...all out of the same money man cow. Good calves, one red the rest black. The one tonight was over 100 pounds but the rest have been between 80 and 90 pounds. We haven't had to assist any so that's a plus and we are expecting five...

    Bull opinions

Thanks. Yeah, the pics aren't the best because I didn't have anybody to get his attention. We are expecting 10+ flushmates to calve within this next two weeks.
