    When does school start in your area?

    Mine started last Thursday Aug. 14.  My youngest started Kindergarten and the oldest is in 7th grade.  I hate to say it, but man is it nice to have some peace and quite during the day.  Now I get to run here there and yonder with their football games and school events.

    bloat problem

    We had a steer bloating this summer.  We switched him to heifer feed with baking soda and have not had a problem.  I think he just could not handle the corn that was in the steer feed.

    Thanks for all the comments:  pedigree on the Chi heifer-  Mailman on the Dam side and HAA Contender is the Sire.  She is a chimaine and could show as a maintainer also.  She is a May so she is young.  She is also TH and PHA free.  the first pic is not that great she did not want to stand...
